prices will be inclusive of taxes and will be on Continental Plan (room
with breakfast and all applicable taxes). Price for meals will be advised
if requested.
In India the hotels generally have two seasons
October - March : Peak Season
April - September : Off Season
Almost all the hotels in India observe 12 noon as check-in/check-out
time.
Category of hotels available in India
Budget Class Hotels in India - Air-conditioned Room with attached
toilets - 2 / 3 star category.
Standard Class Hotels in India - Comfortable, Air-conditioned,
with at least one restaurant. 3 / 4 star category. Most of them with
swimming pool, health club etc.
First Class Hotels in India - A first class air-conditioned
hotel with more than one restaurant. May or may not have a swimming pool.
4/5 star category. Some of the smaller towns may not have such category
hotels.
Deluxe Hotels in India - A 5 star deluxe hotel with all the
luxuries, as you would find in a hotel of such category.
Heritage Hotels in India
Generally available in most part of India, may be classified in any of
the above categories. The old havelies, Forts and palaces been converted
into Heritage Hotels after due modifications keeping in mind the comfort
of the guest.
