Day 01 - Delhi
Arrive
Delhi. Meeting & Greeting at airport. Transfer to hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 02 - Delhi
Full day sight-seeing tour of the city, which includes Jama Masjid - the
largest mosque of Emperor Shahjahan, Red Fort - a marvel in red sandstone,
Raj Ghat- cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, to India Gate - a 42 meter
stone arch built in the memory of the Indian Soldiers who died in World
War II, Drive past the President's House & Parliament House, Humayun's
Tomb - a memorial of the Mughals, the Qutab Minar - 12th century 230 feet
high Qutub Minar & Lotus Temple. Overnight in hotel
Day 03 - Delhi - Agra (203 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Agra, enroute visit to Sikandra: The worthy
monument here is the tomb of Akbar which shows an interesting fusion of
Hindu & Muslim art and architecture reflecting the spirit of the
emperor himself. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour
of Agra visiting the world Famous Taj Mahal, Agra Fort &
Itmad-ud-Daula. Overnight at Agra. (Taj Mahal is closed on all Fridays).

Day 04 - Agra - Gwalior
After an early breakfast transfer to the railway station to connect train
# 2002 Shatabdi Express to Gwalior (dep. 08:12 hrs. arr 09:29 hrs).
Gwalior is situated at the very geographical and historical crossroads of
India and its immense fortress shines out as the noblest of all Hindu
castles. Built on the site of a 5th century temple of the sun, the fort
embraces temples, palaces, mosques and museums, a full afternoon's
sightseeing.
Day 05 - Gwalior - Orchha - Khajuraho (190 kms / 5 hrs)
Morning
drive to Khajuraho enroute visiting Orchha temples. In Orchha you can see
its three palaces and embrace some of the numerous pavilions, lodges and
temples that can be glimpsed in the nearby heavily wooded hills.
Day 06 - Khajuraho
The Khajuraho temples provide an entertaining and instructive afternoon's
viewing for all human life is depicted here, the Chandella kings who
constructed them believing there was no superiority between the physical
and spiritual aspects of existence. Overnight at hotel
Day 07 - Khajuraho - Delhi
Transfer to airport on time to connect flight for Delhi. Upon arrival
transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward
destination.
